We’re also going to pull out a few of our favourites from the set, some because of the sheer amount of hurt they can lay down, others for the simple fun of the thing. Felt really good, but took way too long to get that setup and Springer died the next turn. Superior Cannon and Inverted on Springer. Played Tech Research then a Superior upgrade and then realizing I've just used my action and upgrade for the turn. Things to Note: Using Quartermaster to take Superior Plating from Jetfire, then flipping Jetfire to pull Ultra Magnus Armor from the scrapyard. Springer was doing alright until I flipped out of his A1 mode. Jetfire kept taking 1 damage due to having Superior Plating. The game took a significant amount of time. Second game I got stomped, didn't KO a single Firecon. ![]() I probably would've won if I went second. My opponent's Transformer only had 1 more health. First game it went down to just 1 more turn and I would have won. Played and lost 2 games against a Firecon deck. Jetfire can go chill in the corner in Alt mode. You don't have Inverted equipped so bold doesn't matter, and you can stay in bot mode to utilize the pierce 3. Put any utility on Springer and you get pierce 3, Urban Camo is a blue utility and it gives you tough 1. But what if they're a heavy defense team, you still follow the same idea except you need pierce if you cannot overwhelm the defense. Use the armor upgrades for the blues, get the weapon upgrades, slap on Inverted and go on the offensive. Jetfire is just Springer-lite for combat. So you get the gist of how this deck is going to use Springer. This just kind of leads back to buffing pierce. ![]() Bold doesn't work with blue deck and neither character can trigger actions. Only way to get big damage is to go bold or buff heavy. It works, but I want the big damage to so can potentially 1 shot enemies that are not playing defensive. Now I have to figure out how to deal damage without having oranges.ĭoing damage, pierce? Black pips, superior jetpack. So I've pretty much got defense covered enough, running with a mostly blue battle deck, have armor, get tanky. Better include tech research so Springer doesn't get left out. Since he puts on armor/utility instead of just playing them, I have easier access to Superior set of upgrades. Jetfire, can put on armor/utility that go into scrap pile, bold 1 is useless for a blue deck, but will help get cards into the scrap pile. 2-wide deck, better stack blues, blue works with tough, I need armor to get that tough bonus. Springer, basically a vanilla character until he gets upgrades. Now let's consider the strengths of each character that fits with this deck profile. Spoilers, I went with UNA and UMA.ġ*Universal Network Access - Good choice, also it's blue.Ģ*Ultra Magnus Armor - Orange and Blue, good armor. With 3 stars to play with let's consider some star cards. Probably need to consider the deck containing mostly blue cards. Since Jetfire hogs all the upgrades he finds, we're going to need to bring in Quartermaster since Swap Parts is banned. Let's pair Springer with Jetfire to grant the most chances of grabbing upgrades. OP is bad, no one paired with Gen OP is bad. I am not saying that pairing him up with Gen. OP was not included because he does not do anything that directly contributes to Springer's abilities. A question was brought up of why didn't I include Gen. ![]()
